Walking Your Faith, Daniel 8:4 "I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward, so that no animal could withstand him; nor was there any that could deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became great." NKJV Friends in Christ, Daniel is witnessing a vision from God concerning the rise of a couple of great empires in the world. The Medo-Persian empire is represented by the ram (Daniel 8:3-4,20) and Greece is represented following that empire (Daniel 8:5-8,21-22). These are noted in the scriptures as great kingdoms of this world. All that the people of this world could aspire toward is seen in them ??? power, influence, and great wealth. But, what are the things that Jesus tells us about being 'great' in His kingdom? John the Baptist, according to Jesus, is the greatest prophet (Luke:7:28) yet there is no book of the Bible dedicated solely to him. Jesus said this to His disciples who argued who should be the greatest in the kingdom... Matt 20:25-28 "But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave ??? just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."NKJV Whether it's our family, our workplace, our school, or church let us be those who bear the same marks of humble service as our Savior did. Walking your faith? The Greatest in the kingdom is the servant of all. Shalom! ABBA, Father God, I thank You for allowing me to be a part of Your Kingdom. Please grant me the power to live as a servant for Your Kingdom in all I do and not to follow the ways of this world. In Jesus' precious name and for Your glory. Amen.
