2 Chronicles 2:7 "Therefore send me at once a man skillful to work in gold and silver, in bronze and iron, in purple and crimson and blue, who has skill to engrave with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided." NKJV

Friends in Christ,

In 2 Chronicles 2, we find King Solomon preparing to build the Temple. In order to create this amazing structure, he enlists skilled laborers of all different trades to begin working on the Lord's house. Did you know the same is true even today? While we may not be building a physical temple, we are all working to build the Kingdom of God. To do this well, we must use the talents and gifts God has given us for His purpose.

Of course, I can hear some say, "I don't have any gifts" or "I'm not skilled in anything." Friends, this is far from the truth. In fact, God's Word refutes that thought. In Ephesians 2:10 we read, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." NKJV

You see, we are God's masterpiece and have been created by God to do good works for Him. In order to walk in those good works, He has gifted us each with certain talents. The exciting part is figuring out what these talents and abilities are and how we can use them to build His Kingdom.

What's your skill? Are you ready to use it for the Lord?

Walking your faith? We are all skilled/gifted by God. Find your gifting and serve Him with your whole heart. Shalom!

ABBA, Father God,

Thank You for making me. I praise You Lord for the abilities I have and the talents You have granted me. Sovereign Lord, help me to look for opportunities to use these special gifts for You. If there is anything keeping me from serving You with all my heart, please remove it. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I will be fully equipped to help build Your Kingdom. In Jesus' precious name and for Your Glory. Amen.

Job 2:9 "Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!" NKJV

Loved Ones,

We often think, well, Satan left Job's wife alive because she was carnal. Could be. It's interesting we are not told where she is in her faith before this statement. "Maybe" she was walking with the Lord before losing her wealth, her house and grounds, her children and is now watching her husband in pain. And maybe in just giving in, she said "curse God and die, I give up Job."

This can happen to any of us. We all go through hard times and it's easy to speak poorly during those times. Be the person who speaks life, who speaks the truth, and speaks love. Ask God to use you to bring healing to others who are hurting and to empower you to be a witness for His glory even while you are going through hard times.

Walking your faith? The beauty and strength of a marriage, partnership or friendship is that often when one is weak, the other is strong. Shalom!

ABBA, Father God,

Thank You for empowering us through Your Spirit to speak life and blessing even during hard times. Help us to be loving when someone else is hurting, and help us to speak wisely when we are hurting. We lift up to You all those in our life going through difficult situations, and ask You to use us to be a blessing in all of our relationships. In Jesus' precious name and for Your Glory. Amen.

1 Peter 1:6 "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials," NKJV

Loved Ones,

I'm sure you have noticed that the Apostle Paul gets into a lot of tight spots. What do we then see him doing? Many times we see him recalling the incredible things God has done in his life in the midst of trials. Do you enjoy tests? Not many people do, but tests serve some valuable purposes. They reveal strengths and they reveal weaknesses. They demonstrate what we know, what we do not know, and they teach us how to apply knowledge. Testing highlights God's faithfulness in our lives and in the lives of others. We can then patiently endure the test knowing that no matter the outcome, God is in control. When you are going through a test, remember all the things that God has done for you and then praise Him.

Phil 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things" NKJV

Walking your faith? Remember all that the Lord has done for you when going through trials and difficulties. Shalom!

ABBA, Father God,

Thank You for Your strength and comfort during times of testing. Please help me to praise You even in difficult situations. Please help me to be an encourager to others when they are going through a test. I pray this in Jesus' precious name and for Your Glory. Amen.

Walking Your Faith

Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” NKJV

Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” NKJV

Beloved in Christ,

The word of God is so very important, friends! I encourage you to read your Bible every day, asking God to reveal Himself to you as the light of His word shines on your heart. The whole Bible speaks to us of Jesus – the Old Testament and the New Testament. To understand God's plan of redemption, we consider all things in the Old Testament in the light of Jesus and the New Testament writers. The Old Testament points forward in time, preparing the way for the work of Christ which is described in the New Testament. Together they give us the greatest understanding of God's amazing plan and the enduring truth of His word. "The new is in the old concealed; the old is in the new revealed." I love this statement by Saint Augustine. It highlights the remarkable way the two testaments of the Bible are so closely interrelated with each other.

God says in His word that when we seek Him we will find Him when we search for Him with all of our heart. Friends, do you need more of God's light and love and strength and joy in your life? Dig into your Bible and seek Him with your whole heart. He will show you things you've never seen before and enlighten and renew your mind.

Walking your faith? "The new is in the old concealed; the old is in the new revealed." – Saint Augustine

ABBA, Father God,

Thank you for Your Word and the wonderful way You reveal Yourself to me in it. I desire to know You more and love You more. Please help me commit my heart to seek You and grow in my understanding of who You are and how much You love me. In Jesus' precious name and for Your glory. Amen. Shalom!
